How Vessel Vista works

TL;DR: Vessel Vista writes independent guides to crewed yacht charters and passes enquiries to an established partner brokerage. The brokerage handles availability, contracts, and payments. We're paid a referral fee by the brokerage if you book, not by you.

From enquiry to embarkation

  1. Enquiry. You start a charter enquiry with dates, guests, destination, and budget.
  2. Shortlist. A broker at our partner brokerage replies with suitable yachts and indicative rates.
  3. Contract. Once you choose a yacht, you sign a charter contract. Most contracts take a deposit at signing and the balance before the charter.
  4. Preference sheet. You tell the crew about food, drinks, activities, and any allergies, so they can provision and plan.
  5. Charter. You board, and the captain agrees the day-by-day plan with you, subject to weather.

How we're paid

Our partner brokerage pays us a share of its commission when a charter we referred is completed. The rate you pay is the same whether you come through Vessel Vista or go direct. Full details in our affiliate disclosure.

What we don't do

We don't own or operate yachts, hold client funds, or sign charter contracts. If something about a yacht or contract matters to you, ask the broker to confirm it in writing.
